I claim that it is important to act and reduce cart abandonment however all merchants should expect a healthy amount of abandoned carts and embrace this as an opportunity to increase sales.

- Act to reduce abandoned carts
- Implement funnel measuring to understand where your carts are abandoned
- Implement smart list building actions to gather info/email of those who are about to abandon
- Reach out to those who abandoned via cart abandonment recovery email or SMS
- Measure and improve
If done correctly a conversion rate of 15% is easily achieved, I was involved in projects that conversion rates of over 20% were achieved.
